Dr. Adrián Ramírez Nafarrate is the Director of the Industrial Engineering Department in the Western Region of Tecnológico de Monterrey. He received his Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering at Arizona State University.
He holds a M.C. degree in Manufacturing Systems from Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Monterrey and a B.S. degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Universidad de Sonora. He has 20 years of experience in academia and has collaborated with several educational and research institutions.
Dr. Ramirez is a CONACYT National Researcher Level 2. His research interests include simulation and optimization of processes with emphasis on health systems and urban logistics. He has more than 20 articles published in prestigious international journals such as:
- Production and Operations Management
- European Journal of Operational Research,
- International Journal of Production Economics
- Socio-Economic Planning Sciences
He is a member of INFORMS, IISE, Decision Sciences Institute, Mexican Logistics Association (AML) and the Mexican Society of Operations Investigation (SMIO).
