The user holds a bachelor's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, a master's degree in Manufacturing Systems, and a Ph.D. in Engineering Sciences, all obtained from Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico. In 2018, they completed a postdoctoral project on home healthcare logistics at the Istituto di Matematica Applicata et Tecnologie Informatiche (IMATI). Since 2020, they have been a member of the Sustainable and Smart Logistics Center of Mexico. They have taught undergraduate and graduate courses in operations research, logistics, and supply chain management.

Their research areas include mathematical models, heuristic search methods, and supply chain management, with a particular focus on humanitarian logistics, healthcare, emergency management systems, and industrial applications. Recently, their research has expanded to include data analysis, sustainable development, and educational innovation. They have supervised undergraduate projects and master's and doctoral theses.

The user collaborates with researchers from institutions such as Université Laval, HEC Montréal, Tecnológico de Monterrey, IMATI, and Université de Bergamo. They have contributed to the publication of articles in scientific journals and served as editor of the book Humanitarian Logistics from the Disaster Risk Reduction Perspective: Theory and Applications. Since 2020, they have participated in the women leaders program in STEM fields.
