Marzieh Khakifirooz holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management and a Master's degree in Industrial Statistics from National Tsing Hua University (NTHU), Hsinchu, Taiwan. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico. She has notable practical experience through various global consultancies for high-tech industries. Her research interests include the application of optimization in smart manufacturing, Industry 4.0, decision-making, and automated teaching. She is an active member of the System Dynamic Society, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE).
